The struggles didn't come to break you. They came to advance and expand your capacity to be more of you.
Growing up you could say I was something of an anomaly - I never fitted into the mold. The expectations of me was to get a good job, have a family, and make sure food was on the table for my husband when came home from work. It's what I was "conditioned" to believe. But I wanted more!
The truth is .... I believed the false premise that life happens to you not for you. And I wasn't in anyway going to break the generational wealth in my family legacy,
"But I am determined AF and knew deep down that I wasn't and couldn't settle for where I was. In one of my deepest, darkest hours, I release the pain - the Cry."
That inner belief and knowing that lit the fire that was already within and a journey pf building a career in the corporate world earning multiple six figures and a seat at the coveted C-Suite table.
And then, one day I had the Mother of all setbacks (or so I thought at the time)., the shock of my role being restructured. I remember the deep shame and sense of failure I felt hiding behind an armored mask so that others wouldn't see the weakness I felt inside.
Pretending that everything was fine, my world came crashing down. Combined with the traumas, prejudices, and limiting beliefs that had accumulated over the years,
I was shrinking, hiding. Putting on a brave face, trying to fit and not to be too different.
Don't rock the boat.
But it got even worse than I could've predicted. Struggling to find a job and running out of money. There I was this accomplished woman with years of business experience, having led and transformed operations with $BN savings.
There I was, no work and wondering which bills to pay this month? Something in me would not give up. I couldn't! The inner GIANT was ready to be released. I had to continue no matter how uncomfortable and desperate I felt.
Desperate but determined, I took a leap of faith.
I sketched the first outlines of what would become my business.
I devoured every free course I could find.
I maxed out my credit cards to invest in my future.
I drove around to local companies offering my services for free — just to get a foot in the door.
No one would hire me...
So I hired myself.
And that was the beginning.
A major shift and breatkthrough that cemented the powerful lesson that ....
When you remove the inner struggles and resistance to MEET YOURSELF where you are and have the COURAGE to witness yourself as you are, is when you meet true SUCCESS.
This is a title.
In that moment .... everything shifted.
And this time, it stuck!
I decided to refuse the struggle to be "normal" to fit the status quo and do whatever it takes to have the extraordinary life I am meant for.
Today, I'm speaking on global stages, building a global business, and brand helping ambitious high achieving entrepreneurs who like I once did are trying to act normal while feeling called to something much greater.
